Take-Up Winches
CES take up winches are most commonly used to tension overland and underground conveyor belts and are commonly installed and commisioned with an automatic tension control system which incorporates tension feedback from a load cell together with automatic periodic adjuctment fed from a preprogrammed PLC unit (DOL-Direc on Line) or via a VFD control system for a more precise tension control.
CES take up winches are designed with a helical gearbox and internal epicyclic gears which resulting in a safe and efficient take-up winch.
Features:
- The helical gearbox unit offers greater efficiency than a worm gearbox used on other take up winches increasing the mechanical efficiency of unit.
- The epicyclic (plantery) internal gear enables effective absorbtion of shock loads which can be encountered during belt start-up as the gears have a large width and three contact points with the internal ring (sun) gear.
- Compact design and easy installation.
- Easy integration with an automatic tension control system; DOL or VFD.
- Customisation of speed and output torque(force) can easily be achieved by changing external motor and gearbox.
- Overload protection (slip-clutch system) can be included by client request.
